Hello, my name is Stephanie and welcome to ‘The Urban Type’, my British lifestyle blog here in London, England.
Born in London, I’m a freelance web designer, graphic designer and writer who has also trained in dance, singing and drama. I’m an 80’s kid who loves theatre, good music and television, which I’ll be getting into detail about in my blog. I’ve also worked in a few London theatres.
I own a beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy called Cesar, who I’ve had since he was eight weeks old. He’s now eleven (human) years young and a joy to have around. He can be very cheeky, loving, caring, boisterous and crazy and this hasn’t changed since day one! He hasn’t slowed down at all!!
When it comes to travel outside the UK, I’ve loved NYC ever since I first saw it in the film ‘On The Town’ – where I first discovered Gene Kelly, Ann Miller and the wonderful world of the MGM musicals. I love visiting the USA and have visited numerous times since the year 2000, when I spent Christmas in Manhattan! I also having family and friends there. Other places I’ve visited outside the US include Canada, Switzerland and Italy.
When it comes to food, I’m almost 100% vegan, having been vegetarian since the age of twelve. I love creating homemade bakes, desserts, soups etc. that would usually contain dairy or eggs. I personally feel a lot better for it and look forward to learning new recipes.
